Fair Fair but underdeveloped summary, tends to overuse of quotations and does not develop own thoughts. Lacks evaluation. Lacks own question or question is merely common sensical.	Good Summarizes thoroughly, gives evidence (page numbers) in the student's own language but doesnt reach the depth of critical engagement.Uses -if necessary-short quotations only as evidence. Has own evaluation and raises a question connected to the text.	Excellent Summarizes thoroughly, gives evidence (page numbers) in the student's own language, and evidence of the student's critical engagement with the assignment (raises questions, concerns, makes associations etc). Uses -if necessary-short quotations only as evidence. Superb evaluation and question.
