Five-Minute Presentation Descriptions
	Full Marks 10 pts	Partial Marks 5 pts	No Marks 0 pts
Catchy Title	Full Marks A memorable title that engaged the audience. Relevance of title is adequately explained by presenters.	Partial Marks Engages audience. Relevance of title is not adequately explained by presenters or is explained incorrectly.	No Marks Generic title or no title at all.
Classroom Connection	Full Marks Presenters identify the major point related to the assigned course topic that emerges from the real-world application article. Presenters address the “reading prompt." Errors are not made.	Partial Marks Presenters fail to address the course topic related to the real-world application article and/or fail to address the “reading prompt" and/or minor errors are made.	No Marks Does not make a connection to classroom material.
RWA	Full Marks Presenters describe another unique and relevant real-world application of the assigned course topic.	Partial Marks The real-world application offered by presenters is not relevant to the assigned course topic, is described incorrectly, or is not distinct from the application article already provided.	No Marks Does not provide a real-world application.
Memory Peg	Full Marks Presenters share a “memory peg” that relates to their presentation, their real-world application article, and their assigned course topic. Creativity is employed when possible in order to have a memorable visual. "Pegged Like a Champion!"	Partial Marks Presenters share a “memory peg” that relates to their presentation, their real-world application article, and their assigned course topic. Memory peg lacks creativity.	No Marks Does not include a memory peg in the presentation.
Participation	Full Marks Presentation is shared with Professor Collett-Schmitt via Google Drive prior to the start of class on the designated due date on the course schedule. Enthusiastic participation from each teammate. Technologically prepared. Presentation was 5 minutes or less.	Partial Marks	No Marks Failed to meet the deadline, lacked preparation (e.g. failing to meet time constraint), or did not participate.
