The Remick leaders will attend finance committee meeting. Upon attending, the Remick leader will: (1) populate the table below briefly describing the meeting (2) provide a two-page personal reflection of what you learned from the experience. This may include such things as anything that may have surprised you, anything you would do differently in the future, what leadership skills you feel you possess that allow you/would allow you to run such a meeting effectively.

​The budget analysis offers the participant the opportunity to reflect on a specific finances of a school. Leaders are required to submit a 2-page analysis of the budget analysis documents provided. Leaders may provide a bulleted analysis, responding to the guided questions listed in each case. If citing readings to support your Budget Analysis please cite any text using the appropriate APA style.

Instructions Use the rubric provided below as a tool for considering how you have approached your role as a leader throughout this semester of School Finance & Business Management. The rubric articulates two areas for reflection and self-assessment as well as the leadership standards and/or Remick Leadership Program core values relevant to each area. Use the template provided (separate document) to assign a score to yourself from the rubric and a 2-3 sentence justification for the score you have provided. Please keep your written justifications brief. The goal is for the depth of the reflections upon which the self-assessment are based is to be experienced individually and thoughtfully. The written component should provide some evidence that you have taken the time to consider your own practice and growth over the semester, but it does not need to be an exhaustive explanation.

The Remick leaders will be provided a prompt that they are to respond to, connecting course content to their real world, to other texts, or to their personal leadership situation. Leaders will also be required to respond to two of their peers posts. This on-line dialogue and responsiveness to peers is an opportunity to deepen one’s learning through community.

The National Standards for Effective Catholic Schools describe policies, programs, structures, and processes that should be present in mission-driven, program effective, well-managed, and responsibly governed Catholic schools. The standards address four domains: Mission and Catholic Identity, Governance and Leadership, Academic Excellence, and Operational Vitality. Throughout this semester, we will explore Standard 10 which focuses on School Finance & Business Management practices at one’s school. This standard details out best practices by articulating a series of benchmarks related to each standard. The benchmarks provide observable, measurable descriptors for each standard. There are eight benchmarks for standard 10, each stated below.
